In addition to the ongoing Donations page on my website, I occasionally hold a fundraiser online, in preparation for an upcoming tour, recording session, or other major G,NA-related event. Earlier this year, I held a fundraiser in which I sold a bunch of my old band's shirts, CDs, and vinyl, plus some one-of-a-kind G,NA merchandise to help raise money for a new console for my light wall.
I'm about to hit the road for my second annual fall tour, and if you've ever embarked on a DIY tour, you know it's kind of like jumping off a cliff without a parachute. In addition to paying for posters, flyers, Facebook ads, tee shirts, hoodies, CDs, and other promotional / merchandise needs for the tour out of my own pocket, I also have to buy a car this time around, instead of renting one like I have in the past. So this fundraiser is to help raise money to cover not only these known costs, but also the dreaded "unforeseen" tour costs -- like flat tires, show cancellations, and bail money for Vegas.
BUT THIS ISN'T JUST ABOUT G,NA ANYMORE...
Starting with this fundraiser, and from now on, I will be donating 10% of any money I bring in through the sponsorship donations and fundraisers on my website to a good cause, in memory of one of my best friends who passed away this summer while I was on tour. Click here to read about my beautiful friend Sara Cornis. For the fall tour fundraiser, my donation will go to Cocoon House, a center for homeless an at-risk youth in Seattle, where Sara worked. For those of you in the Seattle area, I'll also be playing a benefit show to raise money for Sara on November 20th, which is also her birthday.

Here's how this is going to work: Below is a list of the "packages" that are available in the fundraiser. Read through the descriptions, pick what you want from the list, jot it down, tally it up, then donate that amount and send me a note with all your specifications. If you have questions, email sarah @ gardeningnotarchitecture.com. If you don't have PayPal, you can send payment via snail mail (at the bottom of the page*), but you should email me first to let me know what you want so I know to set it aside. As items are sold, I'll update the numbers on this page, and I'll refund your money if anything you pick is sold out. Don't forget: everyone who donates in this fundraiser also gets permanently listed as an Official Sponsor of G,NA on the Donate page!

$5 PACKAGE: Customized Individual Post Card
What you get: A personalized post card, decorated and hand-written by Sarah, sent to person of your choice, with your own message OR random note from Sarah (see example -- your note will be much better).
What to do: Include name and address of the post card's recipient, plus the message text (if any; or opt for the 'random message from Sarah', which is always entertaining) in the notes with your donation.

$10 PACKAGE: Individual Show Sponsorship on Facebook
What you get: Your name and link listed in the "More Info" area on Event page(s) of your choice, plus the above "amazing person" image posted on Event page wall next to your name and link. Then, for each day of the tour, Sarah will post and tag a "Thank You" video for that show's sponsors on Event page wall. Show sponsorships will help pay for flyers, posters, and advertising for that show, plus gas and food for that day, and emergency funds for flat tires and bail money!
What to do: Choose the show(s) you want to sponsor (or just specify how many shows you want to sponsor, if you don't have a preference about which dates/cities), and list them in the notes with your donation, along with your name and the link (if any) that you would like to appear on the Event page. You may choose to remain anonymous as well.

Each painting is signed and numbered by Sarah. Note: the "Jabberwocky" painting in photo is number 1/10 (please specify that you want that painting).
What to do: Choose the lyrics you want on your painting and include them in the notes with your donation. Space is limited, so pick up to two lines total. Be sure to include your mailing address.
